June 2005

The West Nile Virus Swells my Brain, watercolor & ink.  I did this on my vacation in Florida, where I found out they were on RED ALERT concerning West Nile-carrying mosquitoes.

Scary Wooden Fetish Mask #1, watercolor & ink.  Never pick up someone's mask until you're sure you know what they use it for. :shudder:

Child of the Creature, watercolor & ink.  I loves me some Fishmen.

My Personal Giant Robot, watercolor & metallic paint.

Force Faith (or Monk Bombhead), watercolor & ink.

Leatherface, watercolor & ink.  Whenever people pretend to be Leatherface, they always forget to wear a dress.

Dancing Mother Earth, watercolor & ink.  Did you know that Mother Earth has a lot of cushion for the pushin'?

Man unhappy about his choice of the Skull motif, watercolor, acrylic, & ink.

Don't Fear the Thresher, watercolor, acrylic, & ink.

OMEGA MICKEY, watercolor, colored pencil, & ink.  "Hi Kids!  I am the Endbringer!"

Dung Beetle Stool Softener, watercolor & ink.

King Mandible's Morning Cupcake, watercolor & ink.

Giant Snail #1, watercolor & ink.

Giant Snail #2, watercolor & ink.  I really don't know why I had the urge to start painting giant snails destroying a city, but well, there they are.  Of course it'd be kind of funny if it happened.  "Oh GOd! A giant Snail is wrecking the city.....very, very slowly."

4XXX, watrcolor & ink.  I can't really tell you what this picture is about, but the title's a pretty good hint.

Tapir #1, watercolor, acrylic, & ink.  What, you don't know what a Tapir is?

You Stole My Heart, watercolor & ink.

Angle Turtle, acrylic, watercolor, & ink.  I stopped using palettes to mix paint a while ago.  Now I mix my paints on blank paper so that when I'm done I can use the remaining paint and turn the palette into another painting.  Basically I look at the mess and see what I can pull out of it.  For what it's worth, the orange and the green in this one were already there when I started.

Red Demon Squirrel, watercolor & ink.

Falling Stars, watercolor, acrylic, & ink.  This piece is not critical of America.  I swear.  Well, mostly.

I woke up and my nightmare didn't go away, watercolor, acrylic, & ink.

Sand Castle King, watercolor & ink.

Smoking D, watercolor & pencil.  This was an experiment in the first place, but interestingly enough, if you invert the picture it turns out infinitely better.

Smoking D, as above only with the colors inverted through Photoshop.

Water Buffalo Boy, watercolor & ink.

Aztec Randomness, pencil with Photoshop-created background.

This month's title Banners:

The original Death Toll Banner, pictures of the Terminator & Walt Disney HEAVILY Photoshopped.  I still like these, but hell, I can't have Disney's head on my website forever, can I?
